OUTDOOR In-Person Prenatal Yoga (TORONTO)

1 Hour/week for 5 weeks

It’s back!! After a (much too long) hiatus West End Mamas Toronto location is thrilled to offer outdoor in person parent/care giver & baby yoga!! (Yay!) This class will be held at Etienne Brulé park in Toronto, in a safe, socially-distanced setting where you can actually interact with other REAL human beings!  In the case of rain, this class will be moved to zoom for that week. 

Join us for a gentle 5-week prenatal yoga class – stretch, strengthen, and connect to your changing body. Classes are one hour long.  You will get individual attention, and make some new expectant parent friends while you’re at it.

If the class is moved to zoom because of inclement weather, the class will be recorded and distributed to participants after each class.  The class video may be viewed for one week after each class.  This way, if you miss that class (life happens!), you can still watch it at a time that suits you.

As this class is outdoors you will need to bring your own yoga mat. We respect every person’s choice to either wear a mask or not during their yoga practice ❤️

  • Tara Mahoney, Yoga Instructor, West End Mamas | Mom & Baby YogaTara MahoneyYoga Instructor

    Tara Mahoney is a BLOOMA Prenatal and Yoga Alliance certified yoga teacher based in Toronto. She has been teaching yoga since 2015, and pre- and post-natal yoga since 2018. Recently, she has began experimenting with the incorporation of other forms of movement, such as dance and Pilates, into her classes.Tara began taking yoga classes in 2013 to build physical strength, but stuck to the practice because of the emotional and mental benefits of asana.

    Through movement classes, she has been able to find a little more love and tenderness towards herself, which has enabled her to achieve many things she never thought possible – including becoming a movement teacher. Dynamic, strength-building flows and an emphasis on the connection to breath are supported by music, to help you tune in or tune out. Tara’s classes focus on building a closer relationship with the physical body – listening to its cues to assess its needs in order to move from a place of awareness and kindness. In teaching movement classes, Tara hopes to facilitate the journey towards self-love for her students.

    Tara is fully vaccinated against Covid-19.

    Lynn Kerrigan has a soft and gentle approach towards teaching yoga  – one that nourishes the new parent and their babies, taking into consideration the great deal of change the mind and body has gone through.

    Off the mat Lynn can be found on her paddle board, competing in triathlons, running races, walking through High Park with her dog, and hiking.  Lynn is also a mother of three beautiful and active girls!

    Lynn is fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

**Please note this series has been extended by one week as there is no class on July 6th.** This is a special OUTDOOR edition of our class!  It's scheduled to run outdoors at Etienne Brulé park for 5 weeks, in a safe, socially-distanced setting where you can meet other expectant parents!  (Yay! Can you tell we're excited?!)  If it rains, this class will be moved online to zoom. Please note you will need to bring your own mat. This class is available as a drop in for $22+HST per class. Please call 416-960-5656 to register.
