Kate Bailey (she/her)

Registered Social Worker/Psychotherapist

Kate Bailey (she/her) is a registered social worker/psychotherapist who offers mental health support for individuals during the perinatal and reproductive years. Kate completed her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Toronto and has additional training in perinatal mood and anxiety and birth and reproductive trauma. Her passion for reproductive mental health began while working with pregnant and parenting adolescents in an intensive care centre during her master’s program. Since then, Kate has dedicated her career to exploring the many factors that influence mood and well-being during the reproductive years. She is particularly interested in working with individuals who are adjusting to their new roles as parents, navigating complex family relationships in addition to grief and loss, and/or experiencing postpartum depression and anxiety.

Kate utilizes a person-centred approach to therapy and draws upon therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), psychodynamic/relational, solution-focused, and dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT). In therapy, you can expect Kate to bring comfort, emotional support, validation, coping skills, and a bright, reassuring smile. Her mission is to empower you by providing an unconditional, non-judgmental space for you to grow, learn and thrive.

Navigating fertility, pregnancy, and early parenthood often comes with many ups and downs. This isn’t what you expected and it all feels incredibly overwhelming. Having a safe space to talk openly about the challenges you’re facing during your reproductive journey can be a relief. Whether you’re looking to manage grief and loss, improve your mood or anxiety, learn how to set boundaries with family members, or process your birth experience, Kate is here for you. Kate will work collaboratively with you to help manage your symptoms, build awareness of your inner and outer world, increase confidence and self-compassion, and determine the coping strategies that work for you.

Kate is fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
