Emily Jeong (she/her)
Physiotherapist - Pelvic and Orthopaedic
Emily is a physiotherapist with a special interest in women’s health and helping women achieve their fitness and functional goals. Emily became interested in pelvic physiotherapy when she observed that pelvic health issues, such as bladder and bowel incontinence and pelvic pain, are often under-addressed in clinical settings. Since obtaining her Master of Science in Physical Therapy degree at the University of Toronto, Emily has worked as a physiotherapist in Toronto, Washington state, and Vancouver in public and private practice settings – including ICU, emergency, neurological and geriatrics. She has experience working with clients with a wide variety of clinical conditions, at various points of their rehabilitation and recovery journey.
Emily has furthered her professional education by taking courses in: assessing and treating female and male incontinence, cesarean birth preparation and recovery, pregnancy rehabilitation (prepping for birthing, pelvic girdle pain, and diastasis rectus abdominis management), trauma and pelvic health, bowel & bladder treatment in clients with neurological dysfunction, and acupuncture.
Outside of work, you can find her volunteering for a Toronto-based cat rescue organization, playing a variety of sports (tennis, basketball, golf, volleyball), and going to comedy shows. She is fluent in English and Korean.
Emily is fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
