We have all heard about our pelvic floor at some point! But what is it? And what impact does pregnancy and birth have on Your pelvic floor?
Come and learn the basics of pelvic floor health, taught by one of our Pelvic Health Physiotherapists!
We will provide you with prenatal exercises, labour tips, optimal pushing practices AND postnatal recovery tips.
This workshop is for anyone who is preparing for birth, whether it’s your first child or your fifth. We love how supportive your partners are, however, this workshop is for birthing people only.

Amy GildnerPhysiotherapist - Pelvic and Orthopaedic, Clinical Team Lead
In addition to being an orthopaedic physiotherapist, Amy is a certified pelvic floor physiotherapist. She uses internal and external manual techniques to evaluate the function of the pelvic floor muscles to address a multitude of conditions and improve overall quality of life.
Amy has taken extensive continuing education courses in manual therapy, acupuncture, and has become a certified Pilates instructor which allows her to treat a multitude of patients and conditions. Amy completed a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at Dalhousie University and her Master of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto. After hours, you can find her engaged in one of a variety of sports but probably soccer.

Alison RibeiroPhysiotherapist - Pelvic and Orthopaedic
Alison completed her Honour’s Bachelor of Kinesiology at McMaster University and her Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto. Alison is a firm believer in holistic care and the benefits of involving the health care team in each patient’s recovery. Alison has a passion for education and has completed courses in pelvic health, acupuncture, manual therapy and McKenzie MDT, all of which have helped to enhance her practice. When Alison isn’t working at the clinic, she enjoys travelling, running, hiking and spending time with family and friends.
