Figuring out this new parenting stuff is hard. We don’t want you to do it alone.

Transitions is not your typical parenting group. This unique group brings together parents-to-be who want to dive deep into who they are now and how that may change once they becomes parents – the good, the great, the bad, and the ugly.

The group belongs to the participants and topics discussed are chosen according the priorities of each group. This group is facilitated by Teddie Buchner, Occupational Therapist, who will support and guide parents-to-be through a weekly discussion on topics including:

-The change in personal identity that comes with becoming a parent
-What to expect once you bring home your baby
-Relationship changes with your partner, your family, your friends
-Changing Body Image
-New measures of productivity
-Maternal Mental health
-Growing your confidence in parenting

Our goal is to create a support network of women who are all navigating the joys and challenges that come with impending motherhood. It aims to foster a community of shared experience and support to empower new mothers to gain confidence in their evolving role of motherhood.

Gain understanding and affirmation that you are seen by receiving support, providing support, and taking time for yourself to recognize your own needs. Now more than ever, it is important to cultivate your village, and make those connections among other new parents.

Motherhood is an evolving role, come join a community of women experiencing the same life changes to support you in the tough times and celebrate the joys of this amazing journey!

Because this group is led by an occupational therapist, it is eligible for coverage through extended health insurance benefits.
