Infant Massage Workshop

This workshop is for both you and your baby.  Learn how to massage your baby!  Our RMTs are Infant Massage Specialists and will teach you and demonstrate how to safely and easily massage your baby.

There are many benefits to massaging your baby. Here are just a few:

  • Helps relieve discomfort from gas, colic, and constipation
  • Improves blood circulation
  • Aids in digestion
  • Enhanced development of the nervous system
  • Increases alertness/heightened awareness
  • Reduces stress hormones and increases relaxation (possibly aiding in sleep)
  • Improves immune function
  • Enhances communication between parent and baby and deepens bonding

Please come with your baby as this is a hands-on workshop.

    Tanya is a Registered Massage Therapist. She treats a variety of conditions using Massage Therapy and Acupuncture, and has specialty training and experience in pregnancy massage, post-partum treatment, and infant massage instruction. Tanya also teaches Massage Therapy at Sutherland-Chan School in Toronto, and is also a birth coach/doula.

    Heather is a practicing massage therapist in York Region for over a decade with an evolving, unconventional, holistic approach to massage therapy.

    She applies keen problem-solving skills and intuition to get to the source of your soft tissue and joint dysfunctions; then uses compassionate individualized touch to assess and treat your aches and pains.

    Heather has extensive experience working with pre and perinatal clientele, both in a pelvic floor rehab setting and as a labour support practitioner; she is delighted to be working towards her certification as a birth Doula.

    A graduate of one of the top leading schools in massage therapy, Sutherland Chan, Kynsi has an extensive background in a variety of massage techniques including Swedish massage, relaxation, sports injury therapy, myofascial release, deep tissue massage and prenatal/postnatal massage; just to name a few.

    Kynsi has been involved with health and fitness her entire life and understands the importance of keeping your body at its fittest, which is one of the main reasons she chose massage therapy as a profession.

    Kynsi furthered her training by becoming a birthing Doula. She loves being able to help the mother and her partner have the best birthing experience possible.
