Acupressure for Labour and Birth
Join our us for this hands-on one hour FREE class for you and your birth partner. Birth partners will learn and practice simple acupressure points that can be used during labour and delivery to help manage pain, calm the mind, and improve efficiency of labour. You will leave with practical skills as well as printed material for future reference.
One spot is good for two people – it is important to bring your birth partner.
This event is free and requires pre-registration. If for any reason your plans change and you can no longer attend, please let us know by emailing us at email@example.com or cancel your registration online, so that someone else may take your spot and so that we can plan appropriately.

- Alexsia PrioloNaturopathic Doctor
Dr. Alexsia is a Naturopathic Doctor with a strong focus on perinatal health. She guides women during their reproductive years on their journey from maiden to mother. She does this by helping women achieve and maintain pregnancies, as well as supports them during their prenatal and postpartum period.
She works integratively with her colleagues at West End Mamas for many perinatal health conditions, and endeavours to treat the whole body, not just the symptoms you’re experiencing. Using a blend of clinical research and experience, Dr. Alexsia sends women home with a plan that is sustainable for their often-busy lifestyles.
Dr. Alexsia holds her license with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario, and is a graduate of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM). Prior to her studies at CCNM, she obtained an Honours Bachelor degree in Biology from York University. She is a member of both the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors and Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors.

- Laura Kaufer – on Maternity LeaveAcupuncturist
Laura is a Registered Acupuncturist. She works with each person to create tailored Chinese medicine treatment plans that include acupuncture, bodywork (such as cupping), dietary and lifestyle recommendations. She has a keen interest in women’s health, and is always amazed at how well acupuncture can help with nausea, low back pain, headaches, sleep issues and other pregnancy-related changes. Laura also loves working with children often on immune and digestive health but also developmental issues.
Laura has attended courses led by Claudia Citkovitz, a preeminent Acupuncturist and teacher on using acupuncture for labour and delivery. Laura has also completed advanced training in Chinese Medicine at the Canadian Gynecology Institute of Chinese Medicine (2019), York University (2017) and Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine, China (2016). She received her Acupuncture Diploma at Eight Branches Academy of Eastern Medicine in 2015.
When she’s not in clinic, you can find Laura on the water paddling with her dragonboat and outrigger canoe teams.

- Olivia PaulNaturopathic Doctor
Dr. Olivia Paul is Naturopathic Doctor and Birth Doula with a special interest in women’s reproductive health, fertility and perinatal care. She takes great care in supporting women in their journey towards and throughout pregnancy. Through hormonal balancing, fertility optimization, managing pregnancy-related conditions and labour preparation, she works closely to ensure you are creating the ideal terrain for achieving and sustaining a happy and healthy pregnancy and delivery.
Dr. Olivia has a profound passion for supporting women with PCOS on their journey towards pregnancy as the conventional medical approach to this condition can be both challenging and confusing. She has successfully supported numerous women achieve and sustain healthy pregnancies and hopes to help more women with this condition become Mamas!
She is honoured to be part of a team of professionals dedicated to the experience of motherhood.
When she is not in the clinic, she enjoys baking pastry and getting outdoors with her dog, Cookie.
